Public Attributes

Type Name
uint64_t abandoned
uint64_t mid_frame_timeouts
uint64_t rejected

Detailed Description

A PUB frame above the server's max_payload arrives as chunks (dp_chunk_t). The receiver rebuilds one frame at a time and gives up a frame it can no longer complete instead of hiding the loss: these are the counts, from the context's creation, never reset.

Public Attributes Documentation

variable abandoned

uint64_t dp_reasm_stats_t::abandoned;

Partial assemblies given up a count of assemblies, not of frames lost: a subscriber that joins mid-frame abandons a frame it never had, and two publishers interleaving abandon each other's. Given up when a chunk of a DIFFERENT frame arrives (that chunk starts the next frame; it is never discarded with the old one), or an unchunked frame of the SAME stream (kind and format: its subject), or an end-of-stream, which under one publisher per subject prove the frame in progress lost a chunk. Another type's frame on the base leaves it alone.

variable mid_frame_timeouts

uint64_t dp_reasm_stats_t::mid_frame_timeouts;

Receives that timed out with a frame part-assembled. The frame is kept, and the next receive resumes it.

variable rejected

uint64_t dp_reasm_stats_t::rejected;

Chunks no frame could hold, dropped: off the chunk grid, out of range, or overlapping.
